ScooterPassed away: July 4, 2009
A young driver hit our little Scooter on Saturday, right out in front of the house on the gravel road. Scooter seemed a little hard of hearing and the boy felt terrible, it was an accident. I was at Walmart getting food for our 4th of July Potluck BBQ with Ryan, Andrea and Michael. The phone call came from a strange phone number, it was Tyler on the other end. "Mom, Scooter got hit by a truck, it's pretty bad...she's dead." We were numb. I barely remember checking out at the register. By the time we got home, Eric, Daniel and Tyler were burying her near the garden. The injuries were severe, she didn't suffer very long. There were no dry eyes as we said our goodbyes. The tears still come and go. We miss her so much. Do forever families include our dogs? The heart says "yes". Until we meet again, sweet Scooter...we love you.

Oh Brenda, that is soooo very sad. Those dogs have a way of getting into our hearts. Hugs to your family.
Sorry to hear of little Scooter! I've enjoyed seeing all the pictures of your pets and new place!
So sorry for you. I am not looking forward to the day we have to do that with either of our dogs. I believe they will be joining us in heaven. We missed you at the reunion this year.
